WONT INVESTIGATE THE ALLEGATIONS AGAINST APOSTLE SULEIMAN- CAN PRESIDENT

The Christian Association of Nigeria has said the association won't research charges of sexual unfortunate behavior being made by Ms. Stephanie Otobo against Apostle Johnson Suleman, originator of Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide.
A top authority at the CAN's national office revealed to Saturday PUNCH on Friday that the association is just worried with denominational issues and not individual ones, under which Suleman's case falls.
Otobo had blamed Suleman for unlawful obtainment of premature birth, danger to life, and endeavored kill, taking after which a Christian gathering, Concerned Christians, approached CAN to explore the assertions.
In an announcement marked by the Concerned Christians' Secretary, Mr. Yusuf Dav, the gathering said there was a requirement for CAN to research the "asserted infidelity case with a view to knowing reality and speaking with the assortment of Christ."
In any case, the CAN source, who talked on state of namelessness, stated, "CAN gives an umbrella to Christian divisions and it is a scaffold between the congregation and the country, not between people. This issue needs to do with people, morals and ethics. So the division Suleman straightforwardly subscribes to that ought to investigate it and not CAN.
"The CAN can't be included. What is going on is not an official issue. It is an individual issue. The man has denied the charges made by the woman, however she demands and we are informed that their legal advisors and the proper experts are as of now included. On the off chance that it was a matter that needed to do with the congregation now, we would have swam into it. You will know that when the man was being annoyed in view of what he lectured and stated, CAN ventured in. We announced our position on that yet this other matter is a tiny bit complex.
"On the off chance that CAN turns out to state the man is being mistreated in light of the fact that he is a Christian, individuals may state that we are shielding what is not defendable, and that the matter is shameless. Likewise, we don't have an investigative office that arrangements with that in CAN. Be that as it may, on the off chance that he is with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, then the body can research the matter. CAN is an umbrella body for denominational coalitions and not for individual Christians as such."
Be that as it may, endeavors to achieve the National President, PFN, Dr. Felix Omobude, on the telephone were unsuccessful as he neither addressed calls made to his cell phone nor reacted to instant message sent to him.
The Chairman, PFN, Edo State, where Suleman is based, Bishop Mon Igbinosa, told our reporter on the phone that he was deprived and couldn't remark on the issue or direct our journalist to whatever other authority who could.
