WRINKLED THOUGHT - a poem by ODUNOLA DON KOLAWOLU
WRINKLED THOUGHTS
wrinkled thoughts of love
spread on the table-cloth of my heart
awaiting the lips of your words
to caress it to smoothness
Adumaradan,
tears of excitement has formed in my eyes
waiting to have a rocking ride down my cheek
at the sound of your approval;
yes, I do
Adumaradan,
for how long shall you deny them of this?
wrinkled thoughts of love
spread on the table-cloth of my heart
awaiting the lips of your words
to caress it to smoothness
Adumaradan,
tears of excitement has formed in my eyes
waiting to have a rocking ride down my cheek
at the sound of your approval;
yes, I do
Adumaradan,
for how long shall you deny them of this?
