COURT SUSPENDS DINO MELAYE'S RECALL PROCESS



A Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday asked both the Independent National Electoral Commission and the Senator speaking to Kogi West, Dino Melaye, to "keep up the norm" regarding suit documented by Melaye to challenge his review by his constituents.

Equity John Tsoho guided that the gatherings to keep up the norm pending the knowing about the congressperson's movement looking for an interlocutory directive to hear the review procedure.

The judge settled September 29 for the knowing about the said movement.

Talking with our journalist on Thursday, Melaye's legal advisor, Mr. Mike Ozekhome (SAN), said with the request by the court suggested that INEC "can never again continue with the review procedure from today (Thursday)".

Melaye had on June 23 sued the INEC looking for a request limiting the appointive body from directing any submission gone for reviewing him.

Then, the INEC had on Monday discharged the timetable for the review procedure.

Yet, Melaye in his suit checked FHC/ABJ/CS/587/2017 depicted the review petitions as imaginary.

Melaye, through his suit, encouraged the court to proclaim the petitions submitted to the Chairman of INEC, Prof. Yakubu Mahmood, as "illicit, unlawful, wrongful, illegal, invalid, invalid, void and of no impact at all".

He likewise requested that the court void the review procedure in light of the fact that it was initiated in rupture of his key appropriate to reasonable hearing.
