NDLEA ACCUSES MAN OF SWALLOWING 935 GRAMS OF COCAINE.


The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency on Friday brought one David Achebe under the steady gaze of the Federal High Court in Lagos for professedly trafficking in 935 grams of cocaine.
The office asserted that Achebe gulped the unlawful substance and was captured on December 21, 2016, at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Ikeja, while endeavoring to advance out of the nation to Hong Kong.
In a charge stamped, FHC/L/36C/17, which it introduced under the watchful eye of the court on Friday, the office said Achebe was captured by its agents at the NDLEA Screening Point II, amid the outward leeway of Ethiopian Airline.
The denounced was charged before Justice Oluremi Oguntoyinbo on two checks.
In the charges, the NDLEA said Achebe "without legitimate expert sent out 935g of cocaine, which you gulped yourself, in your home."
The indicting counsel for the organization, Mrs. Juliana Iroabuchi, told Justice Oguntoyinbo that the blamed acted in opposition to Section 11 (b) (d) of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency Act, Cap N30, Law of the Federation of Nigeria 2004 and was at risk to being rebuffed under a similar law.
