UNCATEGORIZED Bayelsa decides By T.A onJanuary 9, 2016 0 COMMENTS INEC ruled out the last governorship election held in some local governments in Bayelsa due to some irregularities and disruption by thugs and so a rerun was slated for today. Around 11:3oam thugs stormed into ogbia local government area of the state (unit 1) when the INEC officials were setting up their tables, they snatched the voting materials and threw them into the river before soldiers intervened to the situation by shooting sporadically in the air before the thugs ran away. Just as if that is not enough drama for the not day and not considering the tight security there was sporadic shooting in Amatolo community and this stopped the INEC staffs from taking the voting materials to the polling unit due to fear for their lives. At around 2:00pm two thugs were arrested by soldiers for snatching of ballot boxes in otu0kpoti unit 1, ward 2 Ogbia local government.
